GlobalLogic Ukraine is looking for Java Developer to work on the full time basis in our Kharkiv office.
Required skills:
• 3+ years of relevant software engineering experience.
• BSCS/BSEE or equivalent experience.
• Ability to learn quickly and grasp complex systems and their interactions.
• Experience writing tunable and scalable server software in UNIX (Solaris, Linux)
• Experience with various Internet communication and messaging protocols.
• Expert command of Java, OOD/OOP principles, preferably in a distributed systems environment.
• Experience with unit test frameworks such as JUnit and TestNG, as well as debugging and profiling tools
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Process orientation, and willingness to participate in maintaining standards and paractices
• Desire and ability to be on the engineering escalation team when operations group has production escalations (Tier 3 support)
Desired skills:
• Background with technologies such as TIBCO, JMS, Hibernate, Spring, JBoss is a plus.
• RDBMS experience is a plus.
• 2+ years of C# experience is a plus
Job Responsibilities:
• Work with other members of the Service Engineering group to support and enhance existing server software as well as create new server components.
• Write functional specifications and unit/stress tests for all code.
• Participate in code reviews
• Work closely with Project Management, QA & System Operations groups during each release lifecycle.
• Design new capabilities or re-design existing ones as needed.
